Updates and Storm

It’s been one heck of a week – make that two. UofH started classes on the 21st and it’s been hectic at work. Since we are severely under staffed, I work more (yaye) but that also doesn’t leave much time to do anything else.

On the bright side, I have completed my summary for Clan of Ash and will be sending queries out by next Friday.

On the downside however, there’s a hurricane. And I’m in Houston. So, I got to make sure all my books and electronics, and story idea notebooks, and everything else to be somewhere safe. I doubt I’ll have to leave. Let’s hope not. Fingers crossed. And for those also on the coast: stay safe.

Crunch Time

Took a vacation. Traveled all day yesterday to get back home. Errands to run today. Camp NaNoWriMo word count = behind. Must catch up.

And so it Begins

Camp NaNoWriMo has begun. I am happy to announce that I have written 1, 726 words. To be honest, it was a bit easy today to get the words out. I think it had to do with my preparation and because I knew how I wanted the story to begin.

The word count, however, is for my fantasy side story I decides to write. I still have the 850 words or so to contribute to the collaboration story with my sister but I’m confident I can get it done.

So far, I’m off to a good start.

Hello to everyone! I want to offer an opportunity for all writers who follow this blog to share information on their books. It can be very difficult to generate publicity for our writing, so I thought this little effort might help.  All books may be mentioned, and there is no restriction on genre. This include poetry and non-fiction.

If this event is successful, I will do this about once a month.  To participate, simply give your name, your book, information about it, and where to purchase it in the comments section. Then please be willing to reblog and/or tweet this post. The more people that see it, the more publicity we can generate for everyone’s books.

I hope this idea is successful, and I hope many people share information on their books!
