A night out and some progress

I feel like I’m repeating information. Or that all my writing is a word vomit. I hope this feeling goes away. It doesn’t help that I was out tonight and by “out” I mean more…

In Moderation

I have mentioned this in the passing but I have honestly forgotten how to write. Were my other drafts, for other stories, this horrible? Maybe it’s because I have spent so much time revising …

First things first:

In order to go to my NaNoWriMo 2016 blog all you have to do is the click the link here. If you do happen to click the link, nothing has been posted yet. I will starting blogging on Tuesday.

To access my NaNoWriMo blog you can also go to the top of Dabbling in the Art of Writing and hover your cursor over NaNoWriMo. Two options will appear: NaNoWriMo (2014) and NaNoWriMo2016. Clicking on the latter one will take you to the NaNoWriMo 2016 blog. This link here will take you to the home page.

On a side note, I have included a count down calendar until November. 🙂

The Countdown Begins

We have 22 days until November and the race is on to prepare for NaNoWriMo. I have officially added Phantom Blade as my novel on the National Novel Writing Month website. My goal is to finish another novel this year so I can start shortening the list of stories I want to write. Hopefully this year I can finally put this story to rest.

The good thing about NaNoWriMo is that, for me, it gives me an opportunity to experiment. The story doesn’t have to make sense and my scenes can be out of place. Sure, eventually I would have to edit and revise so much but I don’t mind doing that. I have the liberty to write whatever I want to write and the editor inside of me can take a break. The outline I made for Phantom Blade will help and it will keep me grounded so that my creativity won’t get out of hand.

I have started hinting to my friends and family members of the upcoming month where I won’t be very social. This also means that I’ll have to plan out how many words I have to write if I plan to go out one day because I really want to finish the novel this month.

The last thing I will say is that I’ll be posting blogs in my NaNoWrimo 2016 blog once November starts but once the day approaches I’ll have more details.

Update 9/2

This week is just an update on what will be coming next. As we all know, National Novel Writing Month is less than two months away. As such, I will start to plan my novel and all that good stuff so expect a lot of posts about that. I started creating a new blog for NaNoWriMo 2016 so I can have everything organized. However, I’m unsure if I’ll be linking the posts between both sites or just using one. I haven’t decided yet.

I’m also planning on sending out a second batch of query letters for my novel, Clan of Ash. Hopefully, this time around I get a response. If not then, I’ll just keep trying or work on another project.

For right now, those are the two major things in my life. Well, that and tiday half price books has a 20% sale going on that’ll I’ll be checking out. I’ll still be writing and editing my other project but for right now my nanowrimo novel and Clan of Ash take priority.
