Life’s Latest Chapter

2025 ended with great news for me. While I’m not able to share the news just yet, let’s just say everything I’ve done so far has been worth it. I’m excited about what’s coming and hope to keep the momentum going.

I’ve been hard at work finishing my MFA program. My last semester start last week and then, I’ll officially completed graduate school. It’s been a dream of mine since I finished my undergrad and I’m happy to report that I’ve made it happen.

As such, writing my thesis novel has taken up a lot of my time. While I’m still unsure whether to try traditional publishing or self-publishing, I plan to wait until receiving my professor’s editorial letter at the end of the semester.

Going forward, I plan on submitting one short story a month to various press with open submissions. I want increase my chances of being published and short stories allow me extra practice with shorter content. As such, my January submission has been sent so I’m looking for a February’s submission.

Another thing I’m implementing is Patreon. While I haven’t figured out every detail, I think it’s time I move away from Wattpad. The Creator’s Program has been a great help, but it’s time to try something else. My rough plan is to post chapters on Patreon, much like I did on Wattpad, but behind a subscription. My success on Wattpad showed me that my work is worth it.

A busy year lies ahead, but I’m looking forward to tackling it one step at a time.
