Share Your Writing!
charles french words reading and writing

Hello to everyone! I want to offer an opportunity for all writers who follow this blog to share information on their books. It can be very difficult to generate publicity for our writing, so I thought this little effort might help. All books may be mentioned, and there is no restriction on genre. This include poetry and non-fiction.
If this event is successful, I will do this about once a month. To participate, simply give your name, your book, information about it, and where to purchase it in the comments section. Then please be willing to reblog and/or tweet this post. The more people that see it, the more publicity we can generate for everyone’s books.
I hope this idea is successful, and I hope many people share information on their books!
Please follow the following links to find my novel:
Thank you!

A break in the routine
A lot of things have happened in the last two weeks. Some good, some terrible, but I survived.
Character development for the game is still under way. With the different time zones its difficult to get everyone together. That hasn’t stopped progress yet.
On the writing side, its been slow. I’ve edited some essays and typed a script up for my job. Nothing too exciting. I decided not to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo. There was just too much going on this month.
Took a trip to the hospital last week. Hence the lack of a post. I’m alright. Just some bruising and scraps. A bit of a scare but it passed. It was a major inconveiance to say the least.
I did go to Austin and San Antonio. That was fun. Played ina soccer game and, as someone who doesn’t do heavy conditioning/ exercise, it wasn’t bad. We did loose. Those PT athletes are no joke. But it was fun.
Lastly, I’m going to a convention this weekend. It’s not for writing though. It’s for a hobby of sorts. I wanted the right to say that I’ve been to an anime convention at least once in my life. Plus, I’m really looking forward to seeing all the cosplay costumes and just enjoying the experience. It’s a break in the routine. Something to do and get out of the house. Possible pictures to come.
Moving Forward
Just a quick drop in since I didn’t post this past week. With the team I’m working for the game, it’s really moved along. The basic story is agreed upon and, although there might be changes, we got the basics. Now I have to work on the characters, races, classes, etc. I’m trying to make a chart so I keep everything organized. I also have to create a character creation sheet so that the team can make their own companion characters.
On a side note, I’ve been editing and writing here and there with Phantom Blade and Crimson Queen. Both of which are on wattpad.
The website had a change and I even added a writing samples page. I’ll be adding more documents on that later. Plus, there are a lot more changes coming to the site.
More information on that later.
Games and Development
A couple of things happened this past weekend and they were all good. I had family visiting and they took up all of my time. It was nice to take a break from work and everything else. I got to show them around the city and enjoy the zoo.
There are two huge pieces of news that I want to share or maybe three. Well, they aren’t huge per say but I still consider them big news.
First, my review on Crickle has been posted. You can find it here. Basically, it’s like Scrabble but on mobile and you can play it by yourself.
Second, I have joined up with a group of developers and programmers, artists, composers, etc. (all minor league here) to develop a game. I’m helping out with world building, setting, characters, dialogue, etc. You know, plot and the other fun stuff. We had a meeting this Saturday that never really ended. The planning is still going on.
I do have to say that it’s exciting that I get to work with so many other people. While I’m the ‘writer’, it’s nice hearing feedback and other ideas from everyone else. It’s been a while since I have worked in a group. For now, we’re just naming the setting and a few other things. I realize that writing for a game is way different than writing a story but despite that, I’m looking forward to the experience.
Lastly, I will say that I have finally built my desktop. Over the course of like six months, I have bought every part to build it and today I was able to pick up from the store. Now, I have a faster option to surf the web. Don’t get me wrong. I’m grateful for my laptop but I needed an upgrade and my desktop gave me that. Well, I’m still keeping my laptop but it’s nice to have another option.
